Doll's House Diary - Part 2
Hey Guys!! How’s your week going? OK I hope… Just dropping in with a little doll’s house update… (eeeek) When I think back to June and the state it was in, 4 plywood walls, no roof, I was defo feeling overwhelmed and regretting what I’d done, but at the end of the day it was give it a go or put it in the skip…
The first thing I did was take a pattern off the roof and remake it in mount board, I was so relieved that the new temporary roof fitted!! I’d already bought some thin plywood from B&Q to make the new actual roof out of. I really want to convert the loft. It’s such a waste of space being all enclosed. I’m still, all these months on not really sure how it will work, but it’s much easier to work out with the roof not attached etc….defo want to do some kind of hinge thing… ah we’ll see he he… ANYWAY if I do work it out, up there will be the main bathroom and the studio. (EEEEEK)
With the house all stripped and sanded, it was time to work on the outside. The hole’s left when I removed the windows were a little wonky and needed squaring off before I even started to think about replacing them. I did this using polyfiler. It worked like a charm!! I quickly painted the outside & the huge doors that make the back and front, I’ve gone for a warm off white called Alberta… it’s just from B&Q. I toyed with the idea of painting the exterior pink, or adding brickwork, but decided to keep it as it originally was.
Sorry that’s a bit of a boring one, I just don’t want to jump in to the fun stuff… the next update will be more exciting I promise.
MWAH!! xx
